Itaugua Paraguay

Just a few facts about Jake's first area - Itaugua Paraguay

30 Kilometers from the capital city of Asuncion
Population 90,000
Itaugua was named by the Guarani Indians, translated "Ita"= stone, and Gua = from Guarani Indians
Languages - Spanish and Guarani
Economy - manufacture and sale of textiles of Ñandutí. Nanduti means "spiderweb". Here are some examples of this beautiful art form.
